The Why
Because Home Shouldn’t Be Lost to Preventable Barriers
KiddKin Building Group was born from personal experience.
Several years ago, Nathan watched both of his grandparents face a difficult reality. Due to mobility challenges and the limitations of their home, they were unable to return to the house where they had raised their family and planned to spend the rest of their lives.
What followed was more than a change of address. It was a loss of comfort. A loss of familiarity. A loss of hope.
That burden has never left.
KiddKin exists to help families avoid that same outcome when possible. While not every circumstance can be changed, many homes can be thoughtfully modified to preserve independence, dignity, and peace.
This work is not just about ramps or widened doorways.
It is about protecting what matters most.

What We Do
Home Accessibility Assessment
In addition to renovations, KiddKin offers a structured, prioritized home accessibility assessment.
This 20–30 point inspection evaluates your home specifically through the lens of safety, mobility, and long-term livability. You’ll receive:
A prioritized list of major concerns
Moderate improvement recommendations
Optional enhancements for added comfort and security
From there, you can choose to:
Complete the work yourself
Partner with us to handle the renovations
Or simply use the report as a roadmap for the future
We are here to come alongside you in whatever capacity best serves your family.

About Nathan
Nathan Coffey is a Raleigh native, graduate of Leesville High School, and earned his degree in Construction Management with a minor in Business Administration from East Carolina University in 2011.
He began his career in residential construction before spending several years in commercial construction, including both general contracting and subcontracting. His background provides him with strong technical expertise, jobsite discipline, and a comprehensive understanding of how buildings perform over time.
Nathan approaches construction differently than many contractors. He believes decisions should be made with the full life cycle in mind — not just what works today, but what will serve the homeowner well years from now. In fact, he is willing to talk clients out of certain solutions if they are not truly in their best interest. The goal is not simply to complete a project. The goal is to steward your investment wisely.
More than anything, Nathan values relationships. He does not want to be just another contractor providing a quote. He wants to understand your family, your long-term plans, and the challenges you are facing — and to walk alongside you in finding the right solution.

Christ at the Center
Nathan and his family love Jesus Christ, and their faith shapes how they live and work. Scripture teaches believers to work “as unto the Lord,” and that conviction defines the standard at KiddKin Building Group.
Integrity over profit.
Long-term wisdom over quick fixes.
Service over transaction.
Every project is approached as if it were being completed for the Lord Himself. That perspective changes everything — from craftsmanship to communication to care for the families being served.
